IT Auditor Assistant

Baker Tilly in Kyrgyzstan (Bishkek) announces a vacancy for an assistant in the IT Audit Department.

Mandatory requirements:

• completed higher education – IT, technical or economic;
• understanding of industry standards and practices (requirements of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, requirements of the State Agency for Personal Data Protection, ISO2700x, ITIL, COBIT, PCI DSS, NIST SP 800);
• skills or a good understanding of the principles of functioning:
  • IT server platforms (Windows Server, Linux),
  • database management systems (MS SQL, MySQL, Oracle),
  • data transmission networks, topologies, security systems, network protocols and routing/switching systems (Cisco, Mikrotik, Huawei);
• ability to read, understand and analyze, as well as create technical and analytical documentation;
• high level of proficiency in office suite and data visualization applications (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Visio, MS Power BI, MS PowerPoint and others);
• excellent command of literate written and oral Russian language;
• proficiency in English at the level of oral negotiations, reading professional literature and business correspondence.

Desirable requirements:

• three+ years of experience as an internal IT auditor or IT specialist of a large company (considered as an advantage);
• experience of working in a BIG-4 / TOP-20 company of the world’s leading audit and consulting networks (considered as an advantage);
• CISA or CIA professional certifications (considered as an advantage).

Responsibilities:

• assisting and completing assignments for IT auditors;
• analyzing, outlining and summarizing documentation;
• analyzing heterogeneous IT environments to gather observations to identify and assess risks in customers’ enterprise environments;
• documenting IT processes, observations, risks and controls;
• participating in operational audits of corporate IT infrastructure, software development processes, testing of general, corporate, industry and application computer controls;
• drafting reports and recommendations based on audit results;
• traveling on business trips throughout the country, Central Asian region and CIS countries;
• interaction with IT/IS specialists, internal auditors of the customer on IT controls testing.
